Broad Shoulders Farm is a new (2018), small farm in Sutherlin, Virginia working to produce farm fresh products year round, i.e. across the broad shoulders of the growing season.

Our mission is to grow the cleanest, tastiest, most nutrient-dense food in Southside Virginia. We do this by partnering with nature and natural systems to develop a farm ecosystem focused on soil health and animal welfare.

Currently, we bring baked goods and colorful chicken eggs to the Downtown South Boston Farmers Market every Saturday, year round, and have a small number of weekly shares available.

We focus on baked goods you can feel good about made with local, organic flour from Lindley Mills in Graham, NC, no added sugar, and fermented breads. The colorful chicken eggs from our one-of-a-kind flocks of rare and heritage breeds are like no other in southern Virginia.

Shareholders always pay less, so consider a weekly commitment to our farm.

Duck and goose eggs, and winter veggies are coming this fall.

We are a certified Clean & Green 2018 grower by the State of Virginia.
